Conference Day 3: Safari!
Today was safari day, and it truly felt like stepping into a living storybook. What a fantastic adventure! Elephants, giraffes, a lion resting right next to the road! Ostriches darting around, hippos half-submerged in the water, rhinos, crocodiles, and birds everywhere! Wow! God’s creatures, all different shapes and sizes. Breathtaking! It was a good reminder that God doesn’t do anything halfway.
Psalm 104:24 says, “O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.”
Considering that God made them all in wisdom, surely every animal we saw was built for something specific. Each one designed with a purpose.
And so were we! We’re not accidents. We’re not generic. God formed us with great intention.
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” —Psalm 139:13–14
We’ve each been given something unique. Different strengths. Different callings. Different ways to serve.
Sometimes, though, in our humanness (I know I do this), we might spend time wishing we were built differently. Or we might compare. We might hesitate. We might hold back because we don’t feel like we’re enough, or we might feel like we didn’t get what we wanted in life.
But God didn’t randomly make us just because. The Bible says He made us for his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
There are things God has already set in motion for us. Ways to serve and to show love to those around us.
Immersing ourselves in God’s creation today brought a good reminder of His careful design and steady care. If He has a purpose for the animals and sustains every creature we saw, how much more is He attentive to us and the plans He has?
Thank You, Lord!!
Until tomorrow!
Na uone kusudi la Mungu katika maisha yako leo.
“And may you see God’s purpose in your life today”
