Arrival in Nairobi!
WE MADE IT!!
Ski and I have been on quite the journey.
We took off yesterday at 3:00 PM, and somewhere along the way, time started to feel… different. Airports, boarding calls, cabin lights dimming and brightening—it all blends together when you’re moving across continents. In just under a day, we’ve crossed a lot of miles. We’ve experienced different languages, different cultures, different lives… wow! And now, here we are!
With close to 22 and a half hours of travel behind us!
Twenty-two and a half hours. Wooooo!!!
That’s a long time to be in the air.
When landing on this continent after that length of travel you realize how big this world is and—yet we’re all connected. And as a body of believers we’re connected by the blood of Christ and the resurrection this Easter Sunday!! Thank You, Lord Jesus for your sacrifice!!
Ski and I are looking forward to heading toward something rich—meeting chaplains from all over the world, hearing their stories, sharing life, and stepping into what God is doing far beyond our usual surroundings.
And … maybe we’ll see an elephant or a giraffe along the way. Ha!
Just a bit of a jaunt across town and we’re there to the conference center where we’ll be staying. I must say, we are grateful.
Grateful for the journey.
Grateful for the calling.
Grateful for the chance to be part of something bigger than ourselves.
And thankful… even for over 22 hours in the air! Thank you God for Your provision!
More tomorrow!
